Black Crown Marks the Evolution of the Crown as Official Sponsors of the 2nd Annual South Africa Fashion Awards

Sandton, Johannesburg – Every iconic brand reaches a defining moment where evolution becomes part of its story. For Black Crown, that moment arrives in 2026.

Black Crown has officially confirmed its return as an official sponsor of the 2nd Annual South Africa Fashion Awards, taking place on Saturday, 3 October 2026 at Hotel Sky, Sandton.

Returning for two consecutive years, the Black Crown and South Africa Fashion Awards partnership extends beyond sponsorship. It reflects a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, originality and the pursuit of excellence.

Produced in partnership with the internationally recognised World Fashion Awards Group, the South Africa Fashion Awards has become an event that celebrates designers, creatives, models and innovators redefining African fashion on the global stage.

The Evolution of the Crown

Once in a while there has to be a change in the way we see and look at things. In the way we express ourselves. A new crown, a modern take of an icon.

A new chapter, derived from the same story.

A new way of celebrating craftsmanship.

A reset that refines the identity. An elevated design.

A new way to put your #CrownOnIce with the same taste.

Black Crown Gin & Tonic is the perfect blend of real African gin and a refreshing tonic fused together to create a crisp taste. An elevated design to match a superior crafted liquid. This is the new Black Crown, a symbol of African excellence.

Where Fashion Meets Craftsmanship

Fashion has always been about more than clothing. It is a language of identity, craftsmanship and culture. Every collection tells a story of evolution, making the South Africa Fashion Awards the natural environment for Black Crown to reveal its own.

As guests gather to celebrate the country’s most influential designers and fashion pioneers, they will also experience the next chapter of Black Crown through a series of premium brand experiences curated to reflect the spirit of the occasion.

Candice van den Bosch, Beyond Beer Brand Director, shared the brand’s official statement on the partnership:

“Black Crown is proud to return as an official sponsor of the 2nd annual South African Fashion Awards, continuing our partnership with a platform that celebrates the creativity, innovation, and cultural influence of South African fashion. In keeping with our purpose of encouraging creators to pause the grind and put their crown on ice, Black Crown will once again celebrate excellence by bringing elevated moments of refreshment and connection to the event through signature welcome drinks, a bespoke gin trolley set-up, and a photo-worthy experience designed to inspire user-generated content. As a brand which embodies creativity, our purpose is to support and highlight emerging artists and give them a platform to showcase South African art.

Through our continued collaboration with the SA Fashion Awards, we look forward to further solidifying Black Crown’s presence within the fashion and lifestyle space while creating a premium celebration that honours both fashion and culture.”
